January Workshop

Nourishing Balance—Using Herbs for Health

We all enjoyed this opportunity to learn about herbal actions and the characteristics of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha and how those relate to our own unique constitution. Here we are mixing up a recipe for Zoom Balls from Rosemary Gladstar's Herbal Recipes book.

Katherine Adams will be coming on January 9th from 1:30 -3:00 with Nourishing Balance— Using Herbs for Health workshop. Cost: $15

This is an Introduction to the use of herbs to help bring balance, health, and peace of mind into our lives. Our response to health problems and challenges will be examined through a slightly different lens. Plants bring an energy uniquely their own, generating solutions forgotten in our modern society. In this class we will take stock of our own innate strengths and weaknesses; explore some plants to see what they have to offer; and learn to create some fun and tasty ways to incorporate herbs into our daily diet.

We will also work on discovering and understanding our doshas as they relate to our health and lifestyle choices. Then we'll focus on some key herbs that help us attain balance, enjoy herbal tea and make some herbal goodies to eat. Sign up here!
