Restorative yoga rejuvenates and deeply rests the body and mind through a series of still postures each held for several minutes. These asanas allow the body to stretch and open organically, using gravity, props and support as the primary tools. Restorative yoga is a gentle and slow, yet intense experience. Its mission is to give you quiet, deep rest and access to healing through postures designed to open the hips, shoulders and spine, slowly, with peaceful intention and integrity. The transformational power of relaxation is especially valuable for stress relief, difficulty sleeping, injury recovery and much needed quiet time!

Yin Yoga - Special Series
Yin yoga is all about physical stretching and mental awareness, targeting the connective tissues such as the ligaments, bones, and fascia of the body that normally are not exercised very much. This class involves stressing and strengthening tissues and increasing energy flow by letting gravity ease you deep into a pose and holding the pose for 2 to 5 minutes. Yin yoga can safely increase range of motion, allowing you to sit for meditation with greater ease, while creating a calm and contented state of mind. This is a different kind of challenge - like exercise, but different. Think of this as innersize!
Led by Lili Robins for a series of 4 Thursdays in October, from 5:00-6:15. Sign up for the Community Class: Sign up here!
